Delete your Odyssia account
Last updated October 12, 2026 · Effective October 12, 2026
You can delete your Odyssia account and its data at any time, in the app or by asking us. Deleting is permanent and can't be undone.
Delete it in the app
- Open Odyssia and log in.
- Go to the Profile tab and tap Settings (the gear).
- Tap Delete account.
- Read what will be deleted, enter your password, and tap Delete my account.
- Confirm. Your account is deleted straight away and you're logged out.
If you've forgotten your password, reset it first: on the Log in screen, tap Forgot password?
Ask us to delete it
If you can't use the app, email privacy@getodyssia.com with the subject "Delete my account":
- Send it from the email address on your account, so we can tell it's yours.
- Include your username.
- If you no longer have access to that email address, tell us. We'll ask you to confirm details only the account owner would know, such as your username and display name, roughly when you signed up, and the titles of some of your trips. We won't ask for your password.
We'll confirm by replying to the account's email address before we delete anything, and we'll complete the request within 30 days.
What's deleted
- Your login: your email address and password.
- Your profile: username, display name and bio.
- Your trips, with their days, stops, notes and pins, and the likes, comments, saves, collaborators and invitations on them.
- Your comments and replies on any trip. Replies other people wrote under your comments are deleted with them.
- Your likes, follows (both who you follow and who follows you) and saved trips.
- Your collaborations: you're removed from other people's trips, and invitations you sent or received are deleted.
- Your blocks, and other people's blocks of you.
- The reports you sent.
- Your notifications and notification settings, and notifications other people got about things you did.
- Your failed login records.
- Your phones' push notification tokens, so they stop getting notifications.
What's kept, and for how long
- Reports about you or your content sent by other people are kept for 12 months after your account is deleted, so we can deal with repeated abuse and legal requests, and then deleted. They contain the reason, any details the reporter wrote, and a reference to what was reported, which no longer exists.
- Stops and days you added to someone else's trip as a collaborator stay in their trip, because they're part of it. They don't show your name.
- Backups: no backups are kept at present. Your deleted data is removed from our systems and isn't retained in a backup.
- Provider logs and emails already sent (for example, past password-reset emails) are kept by our providers for a limited time, as their policies describe. Push notifications already on your phone stay there until you clear them.
- Information the law requires us to keep, if any, for as long as it requires.
Anything that was public may have been seen, saved or screenshotted by other people before you deleted it. We can't remove copies that others made.
